βοΈ Crafting, Fortification, and Equipment Overhaul
π§ Simple Summary of Upgrade System Change
In the old system, you had a chance to succeed or break the item. If it broke, you had to use separate restoration materials to fix it before trying again. For example, if you had 20 upgrade catalysts and 20 restoration materials, you could attempt 1 upgrade and 1 restore.
In the new system: Items no longer break. Instead, each attempt either succeeds or does nothing (but still consumes a material). Now, all materials are combined into a single pool of upgrade catalysts. So 20 upgrade + 20 restore = 40 catalysts = 2 full upgrade attempts.
π‘ Does this increase your odds?
Yes, slightly. Because previously, upgrade and restore materials were separate, you could get stuck if you ran out of one type. Now, since all materials are usable for upgrades, you get more total chances, and there’s no risk of being blocked by running out of restore items. This makes the system more flexible and player-friendly, even though the average material cost per success is the same.
Old System | New System |
---|---|
50% success / 50% break → | 33.33% success / 66.67% no change |
90% success / 10% break → | 81.82% success / 18.18% no change |
60% success / 40% break → | 42.86% success / 57.14% no change |
30% success / 70% break → | 17.65% success / 82.35% no change |
10% success / 90% break → | 5.26% success / 94.74% no change |
